Cheshire Cat Gallery was founded in Goa in 2005 by jewellery designers Kees Van Andel and Karen Peace, our studio was born from a shared love of design, craftsmanship and the beauty of things made by hand.
Already well known in Europe for their luxury jewellery brand, Van Andel & Peace, Kees and Karen brought their passion for jewellery design to India, creating a studio where creativity, craftsmanship and individuality come
together.
At the heart of our work is a belief that fine jewellery should feel personal. Each piece is thoughtfully designed and carefully handcrafted in Goa with an emphasis on distinctive design, exceptional materials and meticulous attention to detail. Kees VanAndel has personally hired, trained and nurtured a skilled team of local craftspeople who bring each design to life by hand. From one-of-a-kind creations to bespoke and custom jewellery, we make pieces to be worn, treasured and passed on.
Our inspiration comes from everywhere — nature, travel, architecture, culture and the unexpected beauty of everyday life. This curiosity gives our jewellery its distinctive character: contemporary yet timeless, refined yet full of personality.
We are equally conscious of how our jewellery is made. Responsible craftsmanship, ethical sourcing and sustainability are important to us, and we strive to make considered choices in the materials and processes behind our work. For us, luxury is not simply about what a piece looks like, but about the thought, skill and integrity behind its creation.
We believe that beautiful jewellery should have a story worth telling — not only about the person who wears it, but about how it came to be.
